In this podcast episode, QIC’s Thierry Cojan sits down with Brussels Airport Company’s Chief Strategy Officer, Hubert Flahaux, and Jetpack.AI’s Co-Founder and Chief Scientist Gautier Krings to discuss data science in the context of airports. Jetpak.AI was acquired last year by Brussels Airport in their drive to promote data science in everyday airport operations.

In the year since Brussels Airport acquired Jetpak.AI to drive data science in everyday airport operations, Jetpak.AI has made strides to analyse the airport’s wealth of data to help guide strategy and decision making. This includes assisting in improving passenger processing times and capital allocations, following recent changes to EU border processing rules.

Utilising data science has enormous potential for Brussels Airport which in 2023 welcomed 22.2 million passengers, transported 701,000 tonnes of cargo through the airport, has direct connections to 220 destinations across 72 airlines and is home to over 260 businesses.
