Brisbane-based corporate property and funds management professional Andrew King has been appointed Chair of Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC).

Mr King, a former QIC Director between 2013 and 2019, returns to the organisation bringing decades of experience across the Australian financial services sector.

In addition to his time as a QIC Director, Mr King has also held directorships of other organisations, particularly in the not-for-profit sector, and spent considerable time serving on advisory boards and committees at all levels of government.

Joining Mr King as new Directors of QIC are Christine Maher, the Hon Nick Minchin AO and Philip Noble.

Current QIC Director Robert Jones has been reappointed for a further term.

QIC CEO Kylie Rampa said these appointments bring a depth of expertise and experience across institutional investment, funds management, real estate and government.

"QIC is pleased to welcome Andrew King back as Chair, together with our new Directors," Ms Rampa said.

"Andrew brings significant experience in corporate property, real estate and funds management and has a deep knowledge of QIC from his previous time serving the organisation.

"He will lead a team of new and existing Directors that have diverse expertise and leadership, further strengthening our ability to deliver strong performance for our shareholders and clients, while continuing to uphold the highest standards of governance."

Ms Rampa paid tribute to outgoing Chair Geoff Brunsdon, and Directors Jane Perry, Brett Himbury and Emilio Gonzalez.

"On behalf of QIC, I thank Geoff, Jane, Brett and Emilio for their leadership and contribution," Ms Rampa said.

"All our outgoing Directors have been strong supporters of our organisation, maintaining our performance culture and helping QIC navigate challenging global headwinds. We are deeply grateful for their service."

The new appointments are effective immediately with all terms expiring on 31 May 2029.
