Stephen Whatmore

Head of Private Equity

Stephen joined QIC and the Private Equity team in 2008 and is focused on the overall strategy of the Private Equity capability, along with being a member of the Private Equity Investment and Management Committees.

Prior to his current role, Stephen established the Private Equity office in San Francisco and led the North American team. While in the US, Stephen invested across all private equity strategies, including venture capital, buyouts, secondaries and co-investments.

Stephen is involved in the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), the global industry body for institutional investors in Private Equity, where he was recently Vice Chair and a member of the Industry Affairs Committee.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics and Laws degree from Sydney University.
