QIC Brisbane OfficeJames Martin has served as QIC’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Office of the CEO since December 2025.
Prior to QIC, James worked in corporate affairs for global mining giant BHP, managing corporate affairs and government relations at a state and commonwealth level in Australia. Before joining the private sector, James spent over a decade in senior leadership roles in the Queensland and Commonwealth Governments, advising a variety of leaders including Deputy Prime Ministers and as Chief of Staff to multiple Commonwealth and State Cabinet Ministers.
James holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and Australian History from the University of Queensland. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a Legal Practitioner.
