QIC Global Infrastructure (QIC GI) was established in 2006 and has grown to a team of eight investment professionals located in Sydney and Brisbane.

We have a proven track record of constructing and managing a diversified global portfolio of primarily direct infrastructure investments for the benefit of super funds and other institutional clients.

Since 2006, we have committed $2.5 billion in 13 investments spread across 12 countries and across a range of sectors including transport, utilities and telecommunications.

Unique risk/return approach
We analyse, select and manage assets based on their ability to deliver to strict risk/return criteria, rather than simply diversifying the fund by sector and geography.

This unique risk/return approach, together with our proven ability to identify, secure and actively engage with high-quality infrastructure assets, gives our clients increased transparency and confidence in their infrastructure outcomes.

Active management role
We take an active management role in the assets we invest in. This provides a higher level of risk management for the portfolio and leverages our broad infrastructure experience for the benefit of individual assets.

For example, QIC GI is represented on the Boards of Brisbane Airport, Powerco (New Zealand's second-largest gas and electricity company) and Thames Water (UK).
